Fermentation Workshop: Kimchi Making
Join us for a delightful culinary experience at our monthly fermentation workshop, organized by Sophia of Sourbellies! This engaging workshop is suitable for all ages and families, and we’ll be exploring the art of making kimchi on Saturday, April 12, from 11 AM to 12 PM.
Participants will dive into the world of this iconic Korean fermented vegetable dish, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. You’ll learn about the traditional fermentation process, discover exciting flavor variations, and understand the gut health benefits that come with enjoying kimchi.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a jar of your very own handcrafted kimchi! All materials are included in the class fee.
Looking ahead, future workshops will explore the fermentation of kombucha, ginger bug soda pop, sauerkraut, cheong, and much more.
The cost is just $35 per person, with proceeds directly supporting the nonprofit initiative Sourbellies. Join us for a fun, educational experience that brings the community together through the love of fermentation!
